Last August, The Spa Hotel in Royal Tunbridge Wells provided the ultimate summer backdrop for an unforgettable wedding shoot. The estate's 14 acres of sun-drenched gardens made for a breathtakingly beautiful, private, and intimate setting.
An Intimate Garden Ceremony
The couple exchanged their vows outdoors by the hotel’s iconic garden temple. Surrounded by mature trees and calm, spring-fed lakes, the ceremony felt completely tucked away from the world. The soft summer light filtering through the canopy made every moment effortless to capture.
Reception and Lawn Games
The celebration then moved inside the elegant country house hotel for a warm and beautiful reception. Afterward, everyone headed back out to the flourishing lawns. The afternoon was filled with laughter, drinks, and lively lawn games, providing the perfect documentary-style photography moments as guests relaxed.

Out of all the beautiful moments captured, the standout feature of the day was Stuart’s devotion. From the ceremony to the late afternoon games, Stuart truly only had eyes for his bride. Every shared glance made it incredibly clear just how much they adore one another. What a lovely couple they make, and it was an absolute privilege to capture their beautiful beginning!
Set on the edge of Royal Tunbridge Wells, The Spa Hotel is an 18-century Grade II listed mansion wrapped in 14 acres of landscaped lawns, woodland walks and ornamental lakes. Couples may exchange vows beneath the open-air Spa Temple (licensed for up to 250 guests) or choose from a portfolio of characterful indoor suites - from the crystal-lit Chandelier Suite (150-guest capacity) to the vast Royal Suite for banquets of 228 and parties of 300.
